Which materials do you work with most often?
We regularly work with wood, bamboo, coated metals (like powder‑coated stainless steel tumblers), acrylic, glass, selected ceramics, and common 3D‑printing filaments such as PLA and PETG. If you’re not sure whether your item is safe or suitable, send us a photo and a brief description, and we’ll let you know before you drop it off or ship it.
What makes Mobius Foundry different from other custom shops?
Mobius Foundry is a small, hands‑on shop. Every piece is personally designed, cut, and finished here, so you get direct communication, careful attention to detail, and work that’s tailored to your exact idea—not a generic template.
Can you help adjust my idea so it works with your tools?
Yes. If your design is close but not quite ready, we can help simplify shapes, adjust text, and tweak details so it cuts and engraves cleanly with the tools and materials we use.
Are there any materials you can’t engrave or print on?
Yes. We do not process materials that contain PVC/vinyl, certain unknown plastics, or highly heat‑sensitive coatings, as they can produce hazardous fumes or fail under laser/UV processes. We also avoid questionable composites and anything with unknown chemical content. When in doubt, we’ll ask for details or recommend a safer alternative substrate.
Do you offer ready‑made items as well as custom work?
Yes. While the goal of Mobius Foundry is to create something unique for our customers, the Shop section has some ready‑made designs you can order as‑is or lightly personalize, while the Custom Projects page is for fully unique, built‑from‑scratch pieces.
